The Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights

has the honour to present its

FIFTEENTH REPORT


Your Committee, which was authorized by the Senate on Wednesday, November 3, 2004, to invite from time to time the President of Treasury Board, the President of the Public Service Commission, their officials, as well as other witnesses to appear before the Committee for the purpose of examining cases of alleged discrimination in the hiring and promotion practices of the Federal Public Service and to study the extent to which targets to achieve employment equity for minority groups are being met.

Pursuant to Chapter 3:06, section 2(1)(c) of the Senate Administrative Rules, the budget submitted to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration and the report thereon of that Committee are appended to this report.

APPENDIX (B) TO THE REPORT

THURSDAY, March 10, 2005

The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration has examined the budget presented to it by the Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights for the proposed expenditures of the said Committee for the fiscal year ending  March 31, 2006 for the purpose of its Special Study on the Federal Public Service, as authorized by the Senate on Wednesday, November 3, 2004. The said budget is as follows:

Professional and Other Services $ 2,000
Transportation and Communications $    500
Other Expenditures  $    300 
Total $ 2,800
