The Standing Committee on the Conflict of Interest for Senators

has the honour to table its

FIRST REPORT


Pursuant to rule 104 (2), the committee reports that the expenses incurred by the committee during the Third Session of the Fortieth Parliament and the Intersessional Authority during the period following dissolution of the Third Session of the Fortieth Parliament were as follows:

In its first report, which was tabled in the Senate on December 8, 2010, your committee reported on its expenses incurred by the committee during the Second Session of the Fortieth Parliament and the Intersessional Authority during the period following prorogation of the  Second Session of the Fortieth  Parliament, pursuant to rule 104 (2).

Your committee’s second report requested funds for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, and requested that it be empowered to engage the services of such counsel and technical, clerical and other personnel as may be necessary for the purpose of its activities. Presented on December 9, 2010 the report was adopted by the Senate on February 8, 2011.

The membership of your committee for the Third Session of the Fortieth Parliament was approved by the Senate on December 2, 2010.
