The Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal People, met at 10:03 a.m., this day, in Room 705, Victoria Building, the Honourable Landon Pearson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Anderson, Andreychuk, Bryden, Johnson, Pearson, Taylor, Tkachuk and Twinn.(8)

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 18, 1997, the committee continued its examination of Bill S-12, An Act providing for self-government by the first nations of Canada.
