The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs met at6:15 p.m. this day in room 160-S Centre Block, the Chairman, the Honourable Peter Stollery, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Austin, P.C., Bolduc, Corbin, De Bané, P.C., Grafstein,Graham, P.C., Losier-Cool, Setlakwe, Stollery and Stratton (10).

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, November 7, 2001, the committee proceeded to study Bill C-32, An Act to implement the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica and to make related amendments to other Acts.
Mr. Patrick O'Brien made a statement and answered questions.

The Chair informed the committee that the Honourable Senator Bolduc will replace the Honourable Senator Andreychuk on the Steering Committee during her present absence.
