Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Austin, P.C., seconded by the Honourable Senator Ferretti Barth, for the second reading of Bill C-32, An Act to implement the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Austin, P.C., moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Fairbairn, P.C., that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs.
