Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Wallace, seconded by the Honourable Senator Eaton, for the second reading of Bill C-25, An Act respecting the Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nation Band Order.

After debate,

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Wallace moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Eaton, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples.
