Pursuant to the order of the Senate of December 3, 2020, the Standing Committee on Audit and Oversight met in camera this day at 11:07 a.m. [ET], by videoconference, the chair, the Honourable David M. Wells, presiding. This meeting is considered to have taken place in the parliamentary precinct.
Members of the committee present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Dupuis, Klyne and Wells (3).
External members of the committee present by videoconference: Hélène F. Fortin and Robert Plamondon (2).

Pursuant to rule 12-7(17), the committee began its consideration on the Senate’s internal and external audits and related matters.
The chair made a statement and introduced the Honourable Senator Klyne who was appointed to the committee by the Senate on June 8, 2021 to occupy a seat for the Progressive Senators Group, as per an agreement between the Senate leaders.
The chair also introduced the two external members appointed by the Senate on June 8, 2021: Ms. Fortin and Mr. Plamondon.
The deputy chair made a statement.
Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).
At 1:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
