Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Stewart Olsen, seconded by the Honourable Senator Johnson, for the second reading of Bill S-214, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (cruelty-free cosmetics).

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Stewart Olsen moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Ogilvie, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
