The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met in camera this day at 10:31 a.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington Street, the chair, the Honourable Chantal Petitclerc, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dasko, Deacon (Ontario), Eaton, Forest-Niesing, Kutcher, Mégie, Munson, Oh, Petitclerc, Poirier, Ravalia and Seidman (12).

In attendance: Laura Munn-Rivard, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; and Ariane Larouche, Legislative Clerk, Senate of Canada.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 2, 2019, the committee continued its examination of the subject matter of those elements contained in Divisions 15, 16, 18, 19 and 20 of Part 4, and in Subdivisions C, K and L of Division 9 of Part 4 of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures. The committee considered a draft report.

It was agreed that the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed that the chair be authorized to approval the final translation and that the chair table the report in the Senate at the earliest opportunity.

At 10:56 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
