Thursday, January 17, 2019 – Senator Paula Simons speaks with students at Next Step Junior Senior High School in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Senator Simons spoke about the work of senators as well as her own path to the Senate, as part of a SENgage youth outreach event.

Thursday, January 17, 2019 – Proudly wearing her Métis sash, Senator Yvonne Boyer visited two classes at Merrickville Public School in Merrickville, Ontario, for a SENgage event. She talked about her work in the Senate, her Métis culture and how they intersect in her work as Ontario's first Indigenous senator.

Saturday, January 19, 2019 – Senator Wanda Elaine Thomas Bernard meets with staff of the Delmore Buddy Daye Institute, which addresses educational issues that impact African Nova Scotians.

Wednesday, January 23, 2019 – Senator Marilou McPhedran and Senator Kim Pate speak about human rights issues and Canadian legislation at the Atlantic Human Rights Centre at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Thursday, January 24, 2019 – Senator Lucie Moncion delivers remarks about the importance of the social economy and the French community at Saint Paul University in Ottawa during an event called “COOPTAIL,” held by the Conseil de la cooperation de l’Ontario.

Friday, January 25, 2019 – Senator Wanda Elaine Thomas Bernard speaks with a Grade 3 class at St. Joseph’s-Alexander McKay Elementary about racism, and reads them a book called “R is for Reparations” in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

Friday, January 25, 2019 – Senator Leo Housakos and Senator Patricia Bovey meet with Canadian representatives at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

Friday, January 25, 2019 – Senator David M. Wells speaks with students about his work as a senator at St. Teresa’s School in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, for a SENgage youth outreach event.

Monday, January 28, 2019 – Senator Percy Downe and Senator Brian Francis tour the Atlantic Beef Products plant in Albany, Prince Edward Island.
