Wednesday, January 26, 2022 – Senator Lucie Moncion participates in a workshop on the Senate with participants from the Pan-Canadian Youth Parliament, organized by the Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française. The mock MPs learned about the Upper House through the Senate’s Kahoot! quiz, before taking part in a presentation followed by a question and answer session with the senator.

Friday, February 4, 2022 – Senators Amina Gerba, Rosemary Moodie and Colin Deacon host a webinar on Black entrepreneurship and empowerment. Senators Bernadette Clement, Rosemary Moodie and Tony Loffreda also joined the discussion. Senator Loffreda said that “Black History Month reminds us that much work must still be done” and stressed the importance of mentorship and data collection to help track and improve progress.
