Senator Martin recognized for disability advocacy

Senator Yonah Martin has won a prestigious award for her work advocating for the physically disabled community in Canada. The senator recently received the King Clancy Award at a Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons (CFDPD) gala.

Senator Martin constantly works to raise awareness about Canadians with disabilities. She has worked with the Korean Paralympic Committee, the Canadian Paralympic Committee, and the Rolling Rampage on Parliament Hill, which showcases elite wheelchair athletes.

She has also been instrumental in recognizing June as Deaf-Blind Awareness Month in Canada.
